What is Miss Africa Scotland?
Miss Africa Scotland is not a beauty contest. It is a cultural leadership program rooted in belonging, heritage, and purpose. The initiative exists to celebrate the richness of African and Caribbean identity while creating a platform for women of African and Caribbean origin in Scotland toshare their stories, find and strengthen their voice, and
lead with confidence. Miss Africa Scotland champions women as change-makers and pioneers, supporting them to step into leadership, advocacy, and positive impact within their communities and beyond.
Who can participate in the program?
Miss Africa Scotland is open to women of African and Caribbean heritage living in Scotland, aged between 16 and 32. Contestants should embody confidence, creativity, and community spirit — and share a passion for innovation, culture and empowerment.
How can I apply to be a contestant?
Applications open each year ahead of the annual Miss Africa Scotland event. Interested participants can apply online via our official website: www.missafricascotland.com.
You’ll be asked to complete a form and submit a short video as well as recent photos.
The cost of applications as a contestant for the 2026 edition of Miss Africa Scotland is £59 only. Closing date for applications is on Monday, 1 June 2026.
How can I support Miss Africa Scotland?
There are many ways to get involved! You can:

- Partner or sponsor as a business, vendor, or designer.
- Volunteer on the day of the event or join our planning team.

What happens after the program?
The crowned Queen becomes an ambassador for Miss Africa Scotland for one year — representing the platform at cultural events, community initiatives, and partnerships across Scotland.
