Esther Oladapo

Esther is a 29-year-old Finance
Caseworker with the UK Civil
Service and a freelance model
who uses creativity as her lens
for self-expression.
She joins Miss Africa Scotland to
celebrate African excellence and
challenge stigma around mental health
in African communities. Her platform
focuses on encouraging self-worth,
identity ownership, and confidence
among African women in the diaspora.
Esther brings a blend of elegance,
artistic expression, and authenticity,
using spoken word to amplify unheard
stories and cultural narratives.

Fatou Ndure

Fatou is a 21-year-old
International Business
Management student and
Sales Specialist who embodies
ambition, confidence, and
cultural pride.
With a love for modelling and African
fashion, she uses her platform to
celebrate African excellence and
challenge harmful stereotypes faced
by Africans in the diaspora. Her cause
focuses on representation—ensuring
African stories, identities, and talents
are understood and celebrated in
Scotland. Warm, creative, and rooted
in her heritage, Fatou aims to inspire
young African women to embrace their
roots with confidence and purpose.

Jeenat Mohammed

Jeenat, 22, proudly
represents Zanzibar, Tanzania,
and embraces both her African
and Scottish upbringing.
Growing up in Glasgow showed
her the power of community,
while her African traditions
shape her values and identity
every day.
She hopes to join Miss Africa Scotland
to showcase her heritage on stage and
inspire others to dream boldly and
lead with confidence. Her social cause
focuses on creating safe, empowering
spaces for women—spaces where
they are prioritised, protected, and
truly celebrated. She aims to launch
Scotland’s first all-women event
dedicated to joy, safety, and sisterhood.
Authentic and unapologetically
herself, Jeenat stands out for her
refusal to conform to social norms,
choosing instead to break boundaries
and encourage others to embrace
their individuality. To her, African
heritage represents pride, humility,
and innovation—a richness of culture,
tradition, and history that continues to
shape her purpose.

Egho Ojeaga

Egho is a 19-year-old Business
Management & Economics
student at the University of
Aberdeen.
A passionate advocate for mental
health awareness, she aims to challenge
silence and stigma within African
households and empower young
Africans to express themselves without
fear. A talented makeup artist and
creative, Egho expresses her identity
through bold artistry and confident
performance. She has modelled for
fashion shows and brands across
Scotland and brings her talent for dance
to the Miss Africa Scotland stage.

Chisom Okoronkwo

Chisom is a 26-year-old
writer, spoken-word artiste,
and Creative Writing Master’s
student at the University
of Glasgow.
She joins Miss Africa Scotland because
the platform reflects her life’s
mission: celebrating African heritage,
championing women’s empowerment,
and building creative spaces for African
voices. Dedicated to mental health
advocacy and creative empowerment
for African women, she uses poetry as
activism—transforming silence into
language and storytelling into healing.
Chisom’s work across Scotland has
made her a respected cultural voice,
and she brings that same strength and
authenticity to the competition.

Joan Emaria Wanjiru

Joan is a 21-year-old
contestant from Possil Park
proudly representing Kenya.
She is passionate about
women’s empowerment and
believes Miss Africa Scotland
is more than a pageant—it is
a movement that amplifies
women’s voices and creates
space for leadership,
confidence, and positive
change.
With her background as a student
nurse, Joan is deeply committed to
mental health advocacy, especially for
young people navigating the challenges
of dual identities. Having faced those
struggles herself, she hopes to use
this platform to break stigma, raise
awareness, and help young people
access support and safe spaces. Driven,
ambitious, and focused on uplifting her
community, Joan stands out for her
self-motivation and desire to create
opportunities for others. Her Kenyan
heritage grounds her in resilience,
community, and pride, reminding
her of where she comes from and
strengthening her sense of purpose.
On stage, she will showcase her street-
modelling and radio-presenting skills.

Vanessa Nakai

Vanessa is a 20-year-old
Edinburgh-based contestant
proudly representing
Zimbabwe. She hopes to take
part in Miss Africa Scotland
to celebrate her heritage on a
multinational stage, grow her
confidence, and open the door
to the modelling world she
has long aspired to enter.
She also wants to inspire others to take
bold chances on the dreams they once
thought were out of reach. Vanessa is
passionate about expanding access
to the arts in Zimbabwe—removing
stigma, increasing funding, and creating
opportunities for young people and
adults alike to explore sport, fashion,
modelling, dance, film, and creative
expression. She believes greater
engagement in the arts can uplift
communities and reduce many of the
social challenges that stem from lack of
opportunity. A fast learner with a strong
eye for detail, Vanessa brings focus and
determination to everything she does.
Her Zimbabwean heritage grounds her
in discipline, pride, and a deep sense of
cultural richness—shaping her identity
and reminding her of the values and
traditions that continue to guide her
journey.

Fifi Tambwe

Fifi is a 16-year-old Glasgow-
based student who proudly
celebrates her Congolese
heritage. Confident, thoughtful,
and deeply connected to her
roots, she hopes to use Miss
Africa Scotland as a platform to
inspire other young African girls
to embrace their identity with
pride and self-love.
Passionate about mental health
awareness—especially within African
communities where stigma can silence
important conversations—Fifi aims to
raise awareness, share resources, and
create safe spaces for young women to
speak openly and build confidence. A
dedicated volunteer who works closely
with children, she has developed strong
leadership, empathy, and reliability,
qualities that shape her into a positive
role model. Her African heritage grounds
her, giving her a strong sense of identity,
community, and values, and she
hopes to represent it with honour and
authenticity.

Divine Tasinda

Divine is a Scotland-based
model, full-time dancer,
choreographer, and performer
whose artistry is deeply shaped
by her Congolese heritage.
She hopes to join Miss Africa
Scotland to inspire young
women who struggle with
confidence, showing them
that they are capable, powerful,
and deserving of owning their
crown.
Her social cause focuses on supporting
underprivileged young people in Congo,
many of whom face exploitation or
unstable living conditions. Divine is
working toward building a charity that
helps young artists access education,
creative opportunities, and a safe
support system. Her talent piece will
blend spoken word, rap, movement, and
dance to tell her story and honour her
roots. For Divine, her African heritage
means everything—it grounds her,
guides her, and shapes the woman she is
becoming.
